Sage Counselling is a small, local charity with a big impact. We bring low-cost counselling directly into the homes of people who can’t travel - often due to age, illness or mobility issues.

Our Trustees are from varied backgrounds including accountancy, legal, marketing, HR, and counselling. If you would like to help us and contribute your expertise and experience offering practical and strategic advice, and you’re willing to roll up your sleeves and get involved, we’d love to hear from you. If you’ve never been a trustee before, please don’t worry, we’ll support you and help you learn what’s involved.

What Our Trustees Do

As a trustee, you’ll be part of the team responsible for making sure Sage Counselling stays true to its mission, uses its resources wisely, and continues to offer safe, ethical and accessible support. 

This includes:

• Helping to shape the charity’s direction and priorities

• Overseeing finances, governance and policies

• Supporting the small staff team and volunteers

• Promoting the charity in your networks

• Attending around 8 online meetings per year. (You would also have the opportunity to meet the other Trustees and Management Team at our AGM)
